Peach Sorbet

Summer is the perfect time to indulge in sweet, refreshing treats, and there's nothing quite like a bowl of homemade Peach Sorbet to cool you down on a hot day.

Ingredients
  

  • pounds ripe peaches pitted, peeled and roughly chopped
  • cup water
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp orange liqueur (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Put the chopped peaches and 1/2 cup of the water into a saucepan over medium heat and cook until the peaches are tender, stirring occasionally! This takes about 15 minutes.
  • Pour hot peaches with the liquid into a blender.
  • Add the sugar, lemon juice and the rest of the water. Add the orange liqueur as well if you are using.
  • Puree until all combined.
  • Transfer to a bowl and chill in the fridge for 2 hours or overnight.
  • When ready, take it out of the fridge and make it in an ice cream maker according to manufacture's instructions.
  • Serve immediately or put in freezer to chill.
