Pear Sorbet
Pears are wonderful late summer and early fall fruit, so don’t miss out on making Pear Sorbet at the end of the summer season. It’s really easy and filled with flavor.

- 4 very ripe pears peeled, cored and chopped
- 1¼ cups water
- ⅔ cup sugar
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
Put the chopped pears and 1/2 cup of the water into a saucepan over medium heat and cook until the pears are tender, stirring occasionally! This takes about 15 minutes.
Pour hot pears with the liquid into a blender.
Add the sugar, lemon juice and the rest of the water.
Whirr until all combined.
Transfer to a bowl and chill in the fridge for 2 hours or overnight.
When ready, take it out of the fridge and make it in an ice cream maker according to manufacture's instructions.
Serve immediately or put in freezer to chill.
